Connie Cummings' personal injury action against the City of Lakin (City) was dismissed because the statute of limitations had run. She appeals. This is a date-driven case.

Cummings was injured on May 11, 2000, when she stepped on a manhole cover and fell. The cover was installed by the City allegedly in a negligent manner. On May 10, 2002, a notice of claim pursuant to K.S.A. 12-105b(d) was received by the City. Pursuant to K.S.A. 2002 Supp. 60-513...
