Plaintiff's decedent John Reilly (Reilly) suffered a fatal heart attack a few hours after returning home from work on March 24, 1993. Reilly, a steam fitter, had been working for his employer, Centrifugal, on a construction job at 660 Madison Avenue, a 24-story building owned by Newireen. Newireen hired LMB as construction manager, which, in turn, hired Centrifugal as the heating, ventilation and air conditioning subcontractor and Universal as the subcontractor responsible...
