This case is before us on petition for review from the court of appeals. We granted the appellee Gary Davis's petition because the issue presented on appeal called for an interpretation of Ark.Code Ann. § 16-13-317 (Repl.1997); however, we conclude that the issue was not properly preserved for our review, and therefore, we affirm the trial court.
