These consolidated appeals arise from an indictment alleging that the appellants, along with over seventy other co-defendants, participated in an extensive drug smuggling and distribution network in southwest Puerto Rico from 1994 to 1997. The appellants were all convicted at trial and sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
