Joseph C. Matthews, a/k/a Michael J. Matthews, appeals his convictions from his activities as an unlicensed loan broker. We affirm his convictions and remand for resentencing.

Matthews attended a seminar in March 1998 where the concept of using notes to purchase real estate was presented. Matthews met Junko Irei at this seminar, and they formed an entity called Chatan Corporation (Chatan). Matthews...
