Auburn police Officer Eric Snay received a dispatch from headquarters that "an individual ... had fallen on the steps in front of the Auburn Package Store ... and that the person got in a vehicle and drove away and that [he was] operating erratically." A precise description of the vehicle and the license plate number were included in the radio transmission. The source of the information was the clerk...
