Palmer Barrett appeals from his judgment of conviction, arguing that the district court erred in denying his motion to suppress drug evidence seized from his house. The district court ruled that exigent circumstances and community care-taking function exceptions to the warrant requirement justified police officers' warrantless entry of Barrett's house after he was found collapsed on a neighbor's porch and unable to communicate.
