In this wrongful death lawsuit, we are presented with two separate appeals from the judgment of the Fourth Judicial District Court for the Parish of Ouachita, State of Louisiana. First, Nusrat Mughal ("Mughal") appeals a judgment in favor of Rita Colgate ("Colgate"), the mother of Brandi Spradlin, who died in a one-vehicle accident in March, 1998. Second, Colgate appeals the same judgment, arguing that the money damages in her favor were insufficient...
