OPINION BY KELLY, J.:

¶ 1 Appellant, Kinder-Travel, Inc., asks us to determine whether the trial court erred when it denied Appellant's exceptions to the assessment of poundage made by William M. Hose, Sheriff of York County ("Sheriff"). We hold that where a Sheriff's efforts toward levy result in a settlement or compromise not made prior to the Sheriff's intervention, the Sheriff is authorized to collect poundage on the settlement amount.
