On February 26, 2002, Graylan Griffin1 (Defendant) and four other men were charged with armed robbery, a violation of La.R.S. 14:64. On August 7, 2002, Defendant was tried and convicted by a jury of armed robbery. He filed a Motion for Post Judgment Acquittal and a Motion for New Trial, which were denied. On September 24, 2002, he was sentenced to forty years at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension...
