This medical malpractice action stems from a patient's untimely discharge from the hospital following surgery. The patient's primary doctor and internist, who admitted her to the hospital, did not directly consult with the surgeon concerning the propriety of the patient's discharge. Within a few hours after the discharge, due to complications from the surgery, the patient was hospitalized again with life-threatening conditions requiring an emergency second...
