¶ 1. On February 21, 2000, Ulysses Bownes walked into the Auto Zone store in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and shot Roosevelt Faulkner seven times with a rifle. Bownes was later convicted of murder by a jury in the Circuit Court of Marshall County and sentenced to life in prison, to be served in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
