¶ 1 Appellant Am-Gard, Inc., appeals the judgment entered in favor of Appellee Joan Mahan on October 5, 2001, in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. Following a jury trial, Appellant was found negligent in its hiring of Rodney Darvell Reed (Reed) as an unarmed security guard.
