Defendant Edward Hopkins was convicted as an accomplice to his brother Anthony's attempted murder of a woman. The brothers were tried together but appealed their convictions separately. In Anthony's appeal, we found that the jury had not been properly instructed on the intent necessary to convict a defendant in these circumstances.
