The defendant, Arlen Brown, was charged by grand jury indictment with: three counts of second-degree kidnapping, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:44.1; two counts of aggravated crime against nature, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:89.1; one count of attempted aggravated rape, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 & 42; and one count of attempted second-degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 & 30.1.
