On December 15, 1993, Rodney Leman Cogman, after having been indicted for first-degree receiving stolen property, pleaded guilty to second-degree receiving stolen property. The trial court sentenced him to serve 15 years in prison, but split the sentence and ordered Cogman to serve 1 year in prison. Cogman did not appeal his conviction and sentence.
