Defendant Jeffrey Jones was charged by bill of information on September 4, 1998 with possession of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(C). Defendant pled not guilty at his September 11, 1998 arraignment. A preliminary hearing and motion to suppress was held, and the trial court found probable cause and denied the motion to suppress.
