Melvin M. Fields and Christine Wardlow sued Norbert and Sharon Henrich for the wrongful death of their son, Melvin Michael Fields, II. A jury returned a verdict for Michael's parents and awarded them $10,000 in damages. Michael's parents then filed a motion for new trial on the issue of damages only, while the Henriches filed a motion for a judgment notwithstanding...
