¶ 1. Riccardo Rausa filed a complaint against George Rogers, on September 4, 1998, alleging that he suffered permanent injuries and damages and future medical bills as a result of a motor vehicle collision which occurred on May 21, 1997. The case was tried before a jury in the Hinds County Circuit Court on the issue of damages only. The jury returned a verdict in favor Rausa in the amount of $100,000.
