On February 6, 2003, defendant Shirley Moncrief was convicted by a federal jury of being a felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C.A. § 922(g). On July 23, 2003, she was sentenced to a 50-month term of imprisonment, and was instructed to report to the Bureau of Prisons on September 3, 2003. Moncrief surrendered to federal custody on August 1, 2003. Moncrief now requests that she be released...
