¶ 1. On September 21, 1995, Eric Jermaine Thomas was indicted for the crime of aggravated assault for shooting Jason Evans with a handgun. On February 12, 1996, Thomas pled guilty and was sentenced to serve twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
