STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On November 15, 2001, Randy Finch was charged by bill of indictment with second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. At his arraignment on November 28th, he entered a plea of not guilty. However, after a bench trial on June 24 and 26, 2002, Finch was found to be guilty as charged. He was sentenced on July 16, 2002, to life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension...
