On April 30, 2002 the State filed a bill of information charging the defendant-appellant with one count of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(A)(1), and one count of possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, a violation of La. R.S. 40:966(A)(1).
