The Superior Court of DeKalb County issued a writ of release in response to the petition for writ of habeas corpus filed by appellee David Nagel, who has been in the custody of the Department of Human Resources since 1981, when, as a teenager, he was tried for the murders of his grandparents and found not guilty by reason of insanity.
