Pursuant to a partially negotiated guilty plea, defendant, Milton Muntaner, was convicted of murder (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)(1)) and attempted murder (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, pars.8-4(a), 9-1(a)(1)) and sentenced to concurrent extended terms of 50 years' imprisonment.
