Following a hearing, the circuit court found respondent, Eddie C. Sr., to be an unfit parent to his children, Eddie C. and Darryl C., based on his repeated incarceration as a result of criminal convictions, which prevented the discharge of his parental duties. 750 ILCS 50/1(D)(s) (West 1998).
