FACTS
On December 7, 1997, at approximately 4:00 p.m. the defendant and a friend, Vince Moore, approached the vehicle of the victim, Earl Zenon, in a parking lot in Lafayette, Louisiana. According to an eyewitness, Moore went to the driver's side and the defendant went to the passenger's side of the car.
