On February 12, 2002, this court ordered a preliminary injunction to halt salvage logging being undertaken pursuant to a plan implemented by defendant Bureau of Land Management ("BLM"). This plan sought to allow logging of over seven million board feet of timber from an area within the Central Oregon Resource Area that was burned in the Summer, 2001, Monument wildfires.
