A jury convicted defendant of first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. M.C.L. §§ 750.520b(1)(b)(i), 750.520c(1)(b)(i). In the Court of Appeals, defendant argued that the circuit court erred by denying his motion for new trial on the basis that the court had denied him his statutory right to a polygraph examination.
