Defendant Midwest Generation EME, LLC ("Midwest") generates electricity to sell wholesale on the open market. Plaintiff Local 15, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers ("Local 15") represents employees of Midwest. In July 2001, Midwest terminated five employees.
