This is a personal injury suit arising out of a trip and fall on a sidewalk. The trial court found in favor of the plaintiff, Neomi Joseph, and against the defendant, the City of New Orleans, and awarded $50,000 in general damages and $1,319 in special damages. From that judgment the City appeals. Answering the appeal, Ms. Joseph seeks an increase in quantum. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the trial court's findings on liability...
