Petitioner Deon Patrick was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of home invasion, and one count of armed robbery in the Circuit Court of Cook County. He was sentenced to two concurrent terms of natural life for murder, 30 years for home invasion, and 30 years for armed robbery.
