{¶ 1} Plaintiff Patricia Froehlich brought this action against defendant, Ohio Department of Mental Health, alleging claims of malicious criminal prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and defamation. The issues of liability and damages were bifurcated and the case proceeded to trial on the issue of liability.
