Ordered that the order is affirmed insofar as appealed from, with costs.

The plaintiff was employed by a maintenance company and worked as the superintendent of two buildings maintained by the City of New York Department of Housing Preservation and Development. He was also a resident of one of the buildings, which concededly had a history of criminal activity. One evening between 9:30 and 10:00 P.M., the plaintiff was assaulted on the stoop in front of his building...
