On January 18, 2001, defendant, Genaro Pacheco, was charged by indictment in the circuit court of Du Page County with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(1), (a)(2), (d)(1)(A) (West 1996)) and driving while his license was revoked (625 ILCS 5/6-303(a), (d) (West 1996)). The offenses allegedly occurred on August 31, 1996, and each count of the indictment indicated...
