The City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge (the City/Parish) appeals a judgment against it and in favor of Cassie Williams (Cassie) and her minor daughter, Shelby, for damages suffered by Cassie when she tripped and fell on a broken sidewalk that was in the City/Parish right-of-way. Cassie answered the appeal, seeking an increase in general damages, an assessment of additional expense items as court costs, and a reversal of the trial court's finding...
