¶ 1 Michael Wilson, Appellant, appeals from the May 23, 2001 order denying his first petition for relief filed pursuant to the Post Conviction Relief Act (PCRA), 42 Pa. C.S.A. §§ 9541-9546. We hold that Appellant's PCRA petition is untimely because Appellant failed to file his petition within one year of the date his judgment of sentence became final.
