Jay Canavan appeals the summary denial of his motion to correct an illegal sentence. Canavan pleaded guilty in 1993 to two counts of lewd and lascivious assault upon a child and was sentenced as a habitual felony offender to 25 years in jail on the first count, and a consecutive 15 years of probation on the second count.
