At various times throughout 1997, respondent engaged in an ongoing course of repeated sexual abuse of his 10-year-old daughter. He was eventually arrested, pleaded guilty to sodomy in the first degree and is currently incarcerated. The sentence for his criminal conviction included a protective order barring him from having contact with his four children until 2011 (see CPL 530.12; People v Goodband, 291 A.D.2d 584
