Defendant, Amin Amin, appeals his conviction and sentence on a charge of second degree murder. For reasons that follow, we affirm.

The record shows that defendant was indicted by a St. Charles Parish Grand Jury for the first degree murder of Debra Matthews in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.
