¶ 1. James T. Hill, Jr. perfected this appeal from an order dismissing his petition for post-conviction collateral relief entered by the Circuit Court of DeSoto County, Mississippi. On June 5, 2001, Hill pled guilty to a charge of aggravated assault and was sentenced to a term of twenty years, with twelve years suspended and eight years to serve in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, and was ordered to pay restitution...
