The Jefferson Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment charging defendant, Dwayne Puckett, with aggravated rape in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42, and aggravated oral sexual battery, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:43.4. The matter proceeded to trial before a twelve person jury which found defendant guilty as charged on both counts. The trial judge thereafter sentenced defendant to life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation...
