Following a jury trial, defendant Justin R. Goodin was convicted of failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury or death of a person, M.C.L. § 257.617, and negligent operation of a vehicle causing homicide, M.C.L. § 750.324. He was sentenced as a thirdoffense habitual offender, M.C.L. § 769.11, to 36 to 120 months of imprisonment for the failure-to-stop conviction...
