After a jury trial, Jesse Roy Redmond ("Redmond") was convicted of first-degree sexual assault (rape) of B.R., who was 70 years old at the time of the offense and 71 years old at the time of trial. The issues on appeal all relate to certain oddities in the identification of Redmond as the perpetrator by B.R., who had known him for 29 years.
