After pleading guilty to the crimes of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicenced operation of a motor vehicle, defendant was sentenced to six months in jail, five years' probation, fined a total of $1,500, with the first $1,000 due within 12 months, and assessed a $155 surcharge. Fifteen months later, defendant was charged with violating the terms of his probation for failing to pay the $1,000 fine...
