In August 1997, during a family vacation at defendant's ranch resort, plaintiff Rosemarie Connor (hereinafter plaintiff) was injured when she fell from the "Banana Boat," a ride operated by defendant. The ride consists of two inflatable pontoon-style boats which passengers straddle, and which are towed by a motorboat on defendant's lake. Although the motorboat is not supposed to go more than 15 miles per hour, it is capable of traveling at faster speeds....
