Following a jury trial, defendant, Anthony R. Jones, was convicted of, inter alia, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (720 ILCS 5/24-1.6(a)(1), (a)(3)(C) (West 2000)). He was sentenced to four years' imprisonment. He appeals, arguing that (1) the trial court erred in denying his pretrial motion to suppress a statement; (2) the prosecutor's closing argument improperly highlighted defendant's failure to testify...
