Pursuant to a negotiated agreement, the appellant, Charles Nicholas Turner, pled guilty to unlawfully breaking and entering a vehicle, a violation of § 13A-8-11(b), Ala. Code 1975. The trial court sentenced him, as a habitual offender, to serve a term of 15 years in prison. See § 13A-5-9(c)(1), Ala.Code 1975. It then split the sentence and ordered him to serve 36 months in prison followed...
