Plaintiffs Lewis D. Dockery (plaintiff) and James L. Gunter instituted this civil action claiming title to certain lands by adverse possession. Plaintiff Gunter resolved his dispute with defendants and is no longer a party to this litigation. The determinative issues before this Court are whether the Court of Appeals properly affirmed the trial court's compulsory reference of the case to a referee and whether the COA properly affirmed the trial court...
