Defendant, Jeremy Greer, is a prisoner in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections. In 1993, defendant pleaded guilty to one count of first degree murder and received a 60-year prison sentence. This court affirmed defendant's conviction and sentence on direct appeal in People v.
